COVID Infection
We are seeing a slight increase in cases of COVID infection in all ages this season. The most common symptoms are runny nose, cough, sore throat, headache, fatigue, muscle pain, shaking chills and fever. Less common symptoms are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and loss of taste or smell. Thankfully, most patients have mild symptoms and can be managed at home with fluids, rest and supportive care. Remember to follow the CDC isolation guidelines.
Some children with special health care needs including those with chronic medical conditions may be at higher risk for severe disease.
Remember, some may not have symptoms but still spread the disease.
